Spray-in Insulation

Spider spray-in formaldehyde-free, fast-dry insulation system is made from specially designed glass fibers that are naturally white like cotton. During the installation process, the fibers are mixed with a non-hazardous adhesive that eliminates the need for netting and dramatically speeds up drying schedules. Spider allows insulation contractors to finish a typical home in two to three hours - twice the speed of cellulose, according to the manufacturer.

Totally water blown semi-rigid polyurethane foam insulation system which simultaneously insulates and air seals.

Sealection 500 is designed specifically to make homes more energy efficient, comfortable, quiet and less dusty.

Sealection 500 Is applied as a liquid, which expands and cures within seconds into a semi-rigid mass. The reduction of air leakage in problem areas such as sill plates, headers, truss ends, base boards, electrical outlets, piping, around windows, doors etc. minimizes energy losses.
The insulation system provides superior performance:

Energy Efficient Homes- heating and cooling costs can be reduced by as much as 50%.
Reduction of Heating and Air Conditioning Equipment Size by as much as 40% with neither increased energy requirements, nor the loss of efficiency and comfort.

Draft Free Environment- seals cracks, joints etc. which prevents uncontrolled movement of air through the wall assemblies.

Quiet Homes- The open cells and semi-rigid polyurethane mass will absorb and reduce the transmission of sound.

Dust Free- Sealection insulation reduces allergens, pollen and external dust from entering the homes.

ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE

Contains no ozone depletion chemicals, no formaldehyde or asbestos
No toxic substances are emitted. Passed the established off gassing tests.
Approved by Environment Canada Environmental Choice Program (Canadian version of USA-EPA)

Code Plus. Draft Stopping, Fire Blocking, Mold and Mildew Treatment.
Code Plus is a program designed to make any home more comfortable, more affordable, safer, and healthier. Kal's Insulation, in partnership with Protective Chemicals, has developed this program to address the needs of homebuilders and home buyers in our area.

Kal's Insulation applies a highly mold resistant, intumescent fire rated caulk in all annular spaces where wires, pipes, cables, or other items penetrate the framing between the ground and the basement or crawl space.

The intumescent caulk that we use expands under fire conditions. When a plastic vent or drain pipe melts in the fire path, the caulk expands to close off the opening to fire passage. The caulk we use for this purpose is also elastomeric and has been shown to prevent the passage of mold spores between the basement or crawl area and the cavities formed by stud runs.

Kal's Insulation then applies a spray-on mold proofing barrier around the perimeter of the house at the plate and down about 18" from the first floor level.

Once these two items are complete, out technicians apply latex caulks and foam materials to virtually every space, gap,or crack in the building envelope.

The structure is then insulated and ready for drywall. All of these services are routinely performed with one phone call and one visit by our technicians to the job site.

Jm EasyFit thermal and sound control batts, available unfaced and with kraft facing, have perforations that allow you to separate each section by hand, simply tearing them apart. They are designed to fit any width framing cavity, delivering maximum efficiency and minimal scrap without sacrificing thermal and sound insulating performance.
